Stop the white elephant!! It's time to throw out the tired, awkward holiday traditions of yore. Except the TV yule log. That one passes the vibe check. Check out these three mocktail recipes that will elevate any holiday celebration, or just a night in with your fuzzy socks.
First Fruits
INGREDIENTS:
-1/2 persimmon-1 oz orange juice
-0.25 agave syrup
-2 oz lyre's malt (you can do without or add it as an option. Not sure if we add other brands in the emails)
-4 oz Gold Fashioned
-cinnamon
INSTRUCTIONS:
To 1/2 muddled persimmon add the oj, agave syrup and malt. Shake and pour over ice. Top off with Gold Fashioned. Garnish with a slice of persimmon and cinnamon.
Eight Crazy Nights
INGREDIENTS:
-3 oz Paloma Daydream-.75oz lime juice
- 0.25oz agave syrup
FOR GARNISH:
- 1/2 lime (juice already squeezed)- 1 sugar cube or crouton
- .5 oz alcohol or lemon extract for pyrotechnics
INSTRUCTIONS:
Combine lime juice, agave syrup, and Paloma Daydream. Stir and add garnish.
Flaming lime shell: squeeze the juice of 1/2 lime. In the shell put the sugar cube and pour alcohol/lemon extract on top. The sugar cube acts as a wick. Light the sugar cube with a lighter.
Mistletoe Mule
INGREDIENTS:
-1oz lime juice,-.5oz agave syrup
- 4oz Mellow Mule,
- pomegranate seeds,
- candy canes,
- mint
INSTRUCTIONS:
Muddle pomegranate seeds and add lime juice, agave syrup, and mint. For the candy cane rim crush candy canes and dip the copper mug in agave syrup. That will make the candy cane stick. Shake the mixture and pour over ice. Top off with Mellow Mule. Garnish with pomegranate seeds, mint, and a candy cane.
