Smooth, bold and amazingly tasty - the No Whiskey Sour.
Tasting Notes: Aged oak barrel, bitter orange, and zesty dandelion. This zero-proof number is bold, bright, and a world traveler. Inspired by oak barrels stored for decades in Kentucky rickhouses, to the bitterly complex chinotto oranges grown in Liguria, to the smoky lapsang souchong tea leaves from the Fujian province of China, and then back to that familiar field of dandelions toasting in the warm golden sun.
This drink flirts with the classics like the Gold Rush and Old Fashioned, but is wholly its own.
Food Pairings: rack of lamb, wagyu beef burger, chocolate covered almonds.
2 oz Gold Fashioned
2 oz NA whiskey (optional)
1 oz lemon juice
½ oz simple syrup
1 egg white
In a shaker mix NA whiskey, lemon juice and simple syrup.
Shake without ice.
Add ice and shake again.
In a chilled glass pour 2 oz Gold Fashioned.
Top off with the contents of the shaker.
Garnish with a dried orange wheel or an orange peel.
