Golden Spritz Mocktail
Crisp & Crude
The Golden Spritz may take you back to the Roaring Twenties. It's rich and lush. Free and uninhibited.
Tasting Notes: Aged oak barrel, bitter orange, and zesty dandelion. This zero-proof number is bold, bright, and a world traveler. Inspired by oak barrels stored for decades in Kentucky rickhouses, to the bitterly complex chinotto oranges grown in Liguria, to the smoky lapsang souchong tea leaves from the Fujian province of China, and then back to that familiar field of dandelions toasting in the warm golden sun.
This drink flirts with the classics like the Gold Rush and Old Fashioned, but is wholly its own.
Food Pairings: bacon-wrapped figs, nutty semi-hard cheeses, chocolate pie.
- 1 oz lemon juice
- 2 oz orange juice
1 can Gold Fashioned
- 1 tsp honey
- dark chocolate
- orange peel
In a shaker combine lemon juice and orange juice.
Make runny honey by mixing 1tsp honey with 1tbsp water. Add runny honey to shaker and shake ingredients with ice.
Pour the contents of the shaker in a chilled martini glass and top off with Gold Fashioned.
Garnish with fresh mint, chocolate shavings and an orange peel.
